Poor Jim !!!!!
Well we made it home from the hospital about 2:00 on Friday. It was a long drive for Jim and a very long day for both of us. He's not supposed to ride in a car for four weeks or lift over ten pounds for six weeks.
In a week and a half we must go back down the hill to have the catheter removed. I wonder how they expect that to happen without riding in a car! He'll be so happy to have that gone, it's no fun to have to carry the bag around everywhere you go. I've been putting it into a cloth shopping bag so that it's easier to carry and doesn't look quite so obvious. We also cut a slit in the side of his sleep jammies so that the tube could go through it. Its too cold for shorts up here. He will also get his 20 staples removed from his belly when we go to the doctor.
Today he was happy to get his hair washed and a shave. After a rest he then got a good bed bath and felt a lot more presentable. That's about all we accomplished but were pleased.
The surgery was a little more difficult than we expected. I hope you will all be patient and we'll come to see everyone as soon as he feels better.
Love you all !

I'm glad he's doing well, but I can't imagine not leaving the house for four weeks! Hopefully you guys won't be too bored. :)
I'm just glad that he is doing well. Now he just has to focus on recovery.
Watch lots of movies and read loads of books :)
Poor Jim. At least he has you taking care of him. We love you guys.
