Jim and Woody did an awesome job on the plumbing and electrical. Tuesday the contractors come to start on the furnace and the tankless water heater. Then the real mess begins in the house.

Some of you have asked if we have been stressed about the construction. Here is what the yard looks like. NO WE HAVEN'T HAD AN EARTHQUAKE the yard is a disaster! It can only get better, well maybe not for awhile we just got notice from the city of Big Bear that starting Monday our entire street will be dug up down to the dirt and repaved. The only light I can see at the end of the tunnel is vacation. Well I'll let you know how it goes this week I'm sure you will see some progress.

Well, it looks great from the perspective that it is being worked on and will be looking better soon. It does look a bit messy but I can definitely see light at the end of the tunnel. By the way, what is a tankless water heater?

Yikes, definitely still more work to do. Great to see the progression though. :)

A tankless water heater is new. Instead of having a 40 or 50 gallon water heater that sits in a closet somewhere keeping the water hot until ready to use, a tankless is a box on the wall with a heating system inside that kicks on when you need hot water. It only uses gas when you are running hot water. There is no tank to constantly keep heated. It will save alot of gas up here where the temperature is so cold. And we will never run out of hot water.

Now THAT is a good invention. I love hot water. It should never run out expecially if you live somewhere cold.
