Our First Bear !!!!!!!!!!
Pretty scary!
So here's the story..........Tonight about 11:00 pm our TV in the living room started having some lines in the picture. Earlier today the cable guy had been working on both TV's. So Jim got up to go outside and check the TV in the garage to see if it was happening on that one also. When he came out of the garage a bear was in our yard by the front door knocking down the bird feeders about ten feet away from him. They both froze and looked at each other, Jim clapped his hands and out of mutual respect the bear headed down the south side of the garage toward the street and Jim down the north side. When he came into the house he said a bear is outside, I started to laugh thinking he was refering to the wood statue outside the front door. But no he wasn't kidding this time. We watched him go in front of our garage and then into the neighbors yard. I grabbed the camera when I saw him going next door. I tried to get a picture but it isn't a very good one in fact it isn't even worth posting. If you look really close he is the black blob right about in the center between the branches of the tree. No kidding he was BIG!!!

Wow, that's pretty exciting. Wish the picture had been a little better, but I'm glad you didn't get too close while you were trying to take it.
Yes, I would rather have a cruddy picture than have you go chasing down a wild bear at 11:00 at night. Very exciting. Jim is pretty tough to face down a wild bear and live to tell about it. : ) He should tell everyone how he had to wrestle it to the ground in order to save you from the bear coming into the house and eating you. : )
That's both exciting and scary. Wonder if the bear is going to be coming around again? Seems like it would be a problem if the bears get comfortable around the homes. Be thankful you didn't have any snacks in your car. :)
